Violet Henderson is a journalist, editor and author; she was born in London, and now lives in Gloucestershire. After graduating from Oxford University in 2007, where she was the Goldsmith Scholar in English Literature, she worked in politics before beginning her career in journalism. Violet joined British Vogue in 2012. She commissioned and edited the magazine’s arts pages, and wrote articles, among them eleven cover stories.
Her favourite moment was her interview with the humorist David Sedaris, who afterwards wrote her a letter, thanking her; she keeps it on her desk for inspiration. Besides British Vogue, Violet has written for The Times, The Sunday Times, the Financial Times, the Times Literary Supplement, The Telegraph, Tatler, Town & Country, W Magazine, and more.
